Empowering communities through compassionate care

Welcome to Love and Care Community Outreach Ministries, where we provide essential services for the homeless and distressed seniors in Northern Florida and Southwestern Georgia, because everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for.

Providing showers, hot meals, and clothes to the homeless helps restore dignity and meet basic needs, allowing individuals to regain their health and self-esteem. This support empowers them to rebuild their lives, seek employment, and reintegrate into society. By addressing homelessness with compassion, we create a stronger, more inclusive community that benefits everyone, reducing crime, improving public health, and fostering kindness.

Supporting Our Vulnerable Populations

Love and Care Community Outreach Ministries, Inc. is a non profit outreach ministry established in 2019. We started out as providing care packages during the winter months for the homeless and senior citizens (including children) both on the streets or in shelters in Decatur County Georgia & the surrounding areas including Tallahassee, FL. The care packages consisted of handmade crocheted hats and scarves, hand warmers, socks, & gloves. In 2021, there was an overwhelming need for hygienic supplies. Body wash, shampoo, toothpaste/toothbrushes, wet wipes for baths, feminine products, hand sanitizer, masks & deodorant were added to the care packages .

Times are hard and the items necessary for basic care had increased in cost yet their income either decreased due to life's trials or stayed the same. Basic home needs like cleaning, laundry, yard care, clothes, basic kitchen supplies, and medical equipment, along with assistance from Department of Human Services and Meals On Wheels benefits have been provided. In 2022, providing food distributions for this demographic has become more of a necessity throughout the year. We've recently partnered with Decatur and Seminole County Mental Health to assist their patients with necessities.

A Portable shower unit has been purchased to serve those in need. This unit can serve up to 4 recipients at one time. The unit is self standing with a generator and a 1,300 water holding tank or can be assisted with city utilities.
